Motivation
Materials are at the heart of Quantum Cascade lasers where many 100’s of layers are grown with near atomic precision to tailor the intersubband transitions and hence lasing characteristics.

Goal & Deliverables
Thrust 1 will grow, understand, compare, optimize, develop, advise, and deliver material systems for Mid-IR sources and detectors.
