2012 MIRTHE Summer Workshop
This year's Annual MIRTHE Summer Workshop was hosted by one of the MIRTHE partnering institutions - University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) - in Baltimore, MD from August 5th to August 10th 2012. Each year, the MIRTHE Summer Workshop is designed to give graduate and undergraduate students, high schools interns, teachers, post-docs and other invited researchers a chance to present their research work. Graduate students and post-doctoral researchers presented their research as oral presentations and the undergraduates, teachers and high school students presented their research in poster presentations. Throughout the week students also had a chance to attend several workshops such as "Grant Writing" or "Early professional career". We also had the privilege to have Legislative Assistant for Rep. Holt speak to students about "Science Policy". Read more...
